Dr. Hockemeyer and Dr.Hoffman, the optometrists at Hockemeyer Family Eye Care, are trained in the most up to date advancements in eye care, committed to providing the highest quality treatment for each of our patients. At Hockemeyer Family Eye Care, we want to be your partners in eye care and therefore strive to make each visit comfortable, effective and informative. We take the time to learn about your eye health history and listen to your concerns in order to provide you with the most thorough and holistic treatment plan possible. Troy S. Hockemeyer, O.D.

Dr. Hockemeyer is a lifelong member of the community.  Hockemeyer Family Eye Care is the continuation of his own optometrist's practice, Dr. Milton Brackmann.

A graduate of Wabash College and Indiana University School of Optometry,  Dr. Hockemeyer practices full scope primary eye care.  He takes great pride in staying up to date with the latest technological advances to keep patient care top notch.  He also takes the time to make sure each patient understands their individual needs.  Special training in primary eyecare including diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases and management of laser vision correction allow him to provide a full scope of care.

Dr. Hoffman is a lifelong member of the community, having graduated from Heritage High School. He continued his studies at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with a major in biology and a minor in mathematics. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN. His externships in optometry school took him to clinics in Lackland, Tx, Montrose, NY and Indianapolis, IN where he studied complete primary eye care. He has training in medical eye care for ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and allergies. Pediatrics and low vision management were also part of his training. Of course, he is experienced in all types of contacts and spectacle correction.
Dr. Hoffman is a member of the American Optometric Association along with its Cornea and Contact Lens Section and Sports Vision Section.
He has volunteered for the AAU Junior Olympic Games and Special Olympic Games where he screened athletes for a variety of ocular conditions and tested ocular skills as they relate to sports.
In his spare time, Dr. Hoffman enjoys golf, softball, and fishing and is a licensed NCAA and IHSAA basketball official.
