About Dr. Hockemeyer

Dr. Hockemeyer is a lifelong member of the Allen County, IN community. Hockemeyer Family Eye Care is the continuation of his own optometrist’s practice, Dr. Milton Brackmann.

A graduate of Wabash College and Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Hockemeyer practices full-scope primary eye care. He takes great pride in staying up to date with the latest technological advances to keep patient care top notch. He also takes the time to make sure each patient understands their individual needs. Special training in primary eye care, including diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases and management of laser vision correction, allows him to provide complete care.

Dr. Hockemeyer is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, and Northeastern Indiana Optometric Society. Dr. Hockemeyer is married and has four children. His hobbies include golf, water sports, physical fitness, gardening, and looking for new adventures.

Andrew D. Hoffman, O.D.

About Dr. Hoffman

Dr. Hoffman knows what it means to grow up in a small community, having graduated from Heritage High School in Monroeville, Indiana. He continued his studies at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with a major in biology and a minor in mathematics. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN. His externships in optometry school took him to clinics in Lackland, TX, Montrose, NY, and Indianapolis, IN where he studied complete primary eye care. He has training in medical eye care for ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, and allergies. Pediatrics and vision therapy were also part of his training. He is also experienced in all types of contacts and spectacle correction.

Dr. Hoffman is a member of the American Optometric Association along with the Indiana Optometric Association. He has volunteered for the AAU Junior Olympic Games and Special Olympic Games where he screened athletes for a variety of ocular conditions and tested ocular skills as they relate to sports. Dr. Hoffman resides in Fort Wayne with his wife Laura and their daughter Emma. In their spare time they enjoy being outdoors. Dr. Hoffman is also a licensed NCAA and IHSAA Basketball official.

About Dr. Fuelling

After high school at Bellmont, Dr. Fuelling received her Associate of Science degree in Optometric Technology/Opticianry. She then worked at Hockemeyer Family Eye Care for three years as she finished her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Purdue Fort Wayne. After her undergraduate career, she went on to attend Indiana University School of Optometry, graduating in 2021.

While at Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Fuelling received extensive training in primary care, ocular diseases, contact lens wear, pediatrics, and myopia control. She gained memorable experience during her external rotations at the Fort Wayne VA clinic, an Optometric facility, and at Camp Lejune, a Marine/Naval base in North Carolina. Dr. Fuelling was also able to volunteer at the Special Olympic Games where she executed screening exams for the athletes. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Indiana Optometric Association.

Having grown up locally, our community is important to Dr. Fuelling. She is looking forward to giving back to the community and making an impact on people both inside and outside of the office!

Outside of practicing optometry, Dr. Fuelling spends her time watching sports, traveling to explore new places, and enjoys good food, coffee, and photography.
